Celebrating 100k miles
Crossed the 100k mark on the way home today, not bad for 38 months of ownership. I know there are a few others with more miles, at least one guy just outside of Fredericksburg MD who's probably at 115k by now.
Anybody else "over the hill"?
Other than regular maintenance items, here's the basic history:
13k - Misfire on #1 - repaired under warranty by replacing plug, coil, injector
also performed seat belt recall fix
27k - replace first set of rear tires (with S02's)
28k - AC stops cooling - repaired under warranty (low freon)
33k - Difficulty shifting when cold, dealer says "no problem found"
35k - install 55HP nitrous system
39k - replace front tires
43k - replace clutch to fix difficult shifting (at my cost) found clutch hub rusted, apparrently not lubed at factory
49k - turn rotors to eliminate slight pulsing in pedal
50k - replace front brake pads (worn through after track day at Road Atlanta
61k - replace rear tires again (2nd replacement)
67k - remove nitrous, install Comptech SC
70k - replace front tires again (second replacement)
72k - replace rear brake pads
75k - replace windshield due to pitting
80k - replace rear tires again
95k - rear tires almost ready for replacement (3rd), buy spare wheels with newer tires instead
So just how am I celebrating? By putting the near-bald tires back on the car and doing a track day at Roebling Road on Friday.

Thats great! I'm glad to hear there are folks who can take care of a vehicle and drive it while still being happy after that many miles.
I plan to be over that hill but it's gonna take me a while to catch up.
I'm just getting started on my S2000 but heres a hint, my current daily has 157,000 miles and its not near the quality of my S2000! The S2000 will be a daily very soon.

It's posts like this that give me a warm fuzzy feeling!
I guess all that talk about how the MY'00 should be avoided due to a multitude of failures is just some OLD WIFE blowing smoke out her XXX?
It's also interesting to see that even with NOS and then a S/C you only changed the clutch once and I take it your rear diff is still stock? I think you just blew (OK, mind out of gutter) quite a few old wives completely out of the water.
Congrats man!
