Smile center console finish

The piece around the hazards and top button is loosing its finish. I tried getting it off completely but it want all come off. Plus the shiny finish does not match anything in the interior, what can I do or where can I get this piece? Anyone else have this happen?

I am trying to get a new piece because the finish or paint is wearing off. Do you know where I can get this piece?

the piece is not sold by itself.

ebay often has 00-03 consoles for very good prices. on my 2001, I took all the finish off and wet-sanded it. It looked like brushed aluminum. I took the console out and did it in the kitchen sink.

You can get it right from Honda.....or you can buy one from me.
I had a similar problem, but replaced mine (straight from Honda) when a little scratch appeared.
It's easy to buy one and easy to replace.

I like the polished look. Just use rubbing alcohol and the paint comes right off.

I am going to remove it, sand it, and get it painted to match the silverstone exterior color. The interior needs more color anyways! Too much red / black. needs a 3rd color.
