Default Check engine light on - Cat O2 sensor

Hey guys,

is it normal that I have to replace my cat's O2 sensor, I have a 2000 with 50K Km.

The other weird thing is that the engine light came on after I over revved the engine.

Were can I get a O2 sensor. I could'nt see any for sale in marketplace. Are they specific to the S2000 or do other hondas use the same sensor.

thank

How do you know it's the cat? Did you pull the code?

If your O2 sensor is shot then so is your cat, you'll need to replace it too. That's $700 for the cat and $200 for the sensor if you can find a good deal. I ranted about this a while back but nobody seemed to care so there you go.
