since you are letting other people decide what car you should get, I suggest you buy a Kia Rio.

Ok youngster - Your a college student. I can give you every reason in the world why you should buy something safe, cheap, practical and non-performance. The truth is though, when I was your age I dreamed of owning a roadster - any roadster. ( Back in the sixties it would have been a TR4 or an MGB ). All your life you will be faced with the choice of what is "practical". You are in college, and unless you are unfortunately blessed with a lot of overburdening responsiblities (kids, family, finances), you should get the S2000. I didn't have the choice between two great cars. I was lucky to have a car, much less a roadster. Don't wait till your 50+, your young and will have plenty of time to be "responsible". Having said all that - Get the "S" - It is just about as impracical as you can get for basic transportation - but what fun!!!!!!!!!!
