I just dont understand how you could think that that was a wise decision. I mean, the SI's body is absolutely perfect minus the interor. But all the s2000 needed was a new softop which you can get for like $600 and then it would have been perfect too. I would never have done it, but maybe thats just me.

I've owned two Civics (both EP chassis') and now have the S2000. Never ever looked back or regretted it once. Its a totally different drive to the Civics in everyway but for me it just feels like a ''better'' car.

Civic EP1
Civic EP3

I own an EP3 and an S2k. I think both are great cars but for fun driving, the S2k is so far ahead that you can't even compare them.

I also came from a civic. The only thing I miss, is the gas mileage and the large trunk. But the S makes up for it.

I owned a 99 Civic EX coupe as my daily beater, and I loved it. Sadly, it was stolen and later found stripped apart. I'd never be happy with any Civic as a fun car, but the combo of my civic and S2K as daily and fun car was perfect. Now I have an 06 Rabbit to replace my Civic as my daily, but it's not the same, and I miss my Civic.

As for replacing one car to another, there's no beating an S2000. My hats off to those who drive them as their one and only daily.

OP

A civic/itr is easier to man handle on track starting off. But the S2000 is such a more rewarding experience as your skills develop.

IMO coming from ITR's.

Had an 07 Civic Si coupe and a 95 Civic Ex before the S. Honestly I miss the Si sometimes since the S isn't THAT much faster, plus I had 4 seats and a real trunk lol and a couple more mpg's. BUT I go around some curves and forget all about seats and mpg's haha. S2K FTW

I have a 2001 S2k and a 06 civic Si. When I got the Si it had 204HP at the wheels (now back to full stock)and got a close encounter with a stock ap1. I must tell you that after 120MPH I was pulling ahead of the S2k. But after getting home, I just got on the S and went to a drive. The steering is so precise and the handling is on another planet. On my way back drop the top and it was like heaven. The s2k isn't a Ferrari. But it's the closet that I could even get to drive a Ferrari. So, to me it's my Ferrari. Apart from performance the looks are at another level from any honda before (ok, maybe the NSX)

But I don't see my self driving the S every day the civic it's a perfect balance. The civic is a very very good car with excellent performance/MPG balance. It fun to drive. But as I mentioned before the S2k is at another planet.
