I have the 3M film on my car..full bumper, fender tips, mirrors, behind all four wheels and custom pieces on the sides...I had it installed at a local detailing shop here on L.I. They do a lot of film kits and are perfectionists. They have done a number of Stooks. I'd highly recommend it. He has customers that come from NJ, CT and Westchester.

i was lucky enough to have my boss at work put it on my car for free. I have stonguard. He is also a rep for them so he can give you a good price if you were here in the local area.

Stonguard is a great product, you can hardly see it from a distance, and it covered all of the bumper, the rear view mirrors and the headlights.

All the computer generated kits have a hole the exact shape of the emblem.

How bad would it look if you put this clear bra on top of existing rock chips?

Thanks, everybody!
That really helps.
Phil, how much for the setup? Full bumper, and the hood.

I didn't realize this product was so popular. Seems like everybody has it.
I am def. gonna do mine. One question: can you take this stuff off later?

BAD! You would "seal" in the chips and not be able to fix them. Fix them first.
The chip won't get any worse because they are sealed in but it's like closing the barn door AFTER the horses have escaped.

I think it takes longer that 2 hours to install a full coverage kit. I've done several different cars now, and have seen several people who've done hundreds of car take about 5-6 hours to do a full kit. It takes me about 8 hours depending on the car and the kind of shape it has. A lot also has to do with the cut of the kit. The Stongard cuts are the hardest to install. The Xpel cuts are the easiest.
