I am attempting to determine the sensitivity setting for an amp. Has anyone put the head unit on an o-scope and figured out the volume setting where clipping actually starts to happen.

Never tried an O-scope but it clips at full volume, but not at one bar less than full volume. How is that for precision?

It will also depend on the source. Try this. Put on a loud clean sounding CD. Turn up the volume until you start hearing distortion and then turn it down unitl you can't hear any distortion. Connect your amp and turn its input gain up until you can just hear distortion and then back it down just bwlow where the distortion started. That should give you the best signal to noise.
