Clutch Chatter
My 01 has 18k miles. Got the clutch disc replaced about 200 miles ago under TSB054. Car is AMAZINGLY quieter BUT it now has a little bit of clutch chatter when starting off from a stop. Not real bad but annoying because it never had it before.
Has anyone else had this problem after disc replacement? Do you think it might go away as new desk "beds in" with the old pressure plate? Anything dealer could have done wrong? Would appreciate any input.

OK, I'm going to show my ignorance now. I've heard the term "clutch chatter" a thousand times over the years. But this is the first time I've had a car that made me care what it means. So could someone describe exactly what it is? Is it a sound, a feel, or what?
Is it harmful, or just annoying?
Thanks,

How to explain chatter?...I'll try but I don't know the tech stuff.....it kinda feels like the clutch is slipping fifty times a second then sends a vibration you feel from your feet to your hands.....anyone want to add to that?

I am pleaed to report that my clutch chatter that I reported after the TSB has about 95% disappeared. Apparently it was a high spot on the disc and/or it needed to "bed-in" with the old pressure plate. Anyway, all is well after about 500 miles of driving. Just wanted to let you know in case anyone else has the problem in the future.
