Well not quite yet. But would like to paint those bad boys. I've heard of a product by "Folia". I understand they make a very good and complete paint kit for painting the calipers.
Anyone use this product? Results?
Anyone know where I can find the kit?
As always appreciate your responce.
Thanks

Giampiero (MG Racing) sells a similar product for much less I believe. Maybe he can offer a group buy New Years discount on them if enough people are interested. Any takers?

I painted mine red with the Folia Tec paint you referred to, which as a two-part epoxy type material. They look fantastic. Can't yet attest to durability, since they've only been painted for a few weeks.

I would get the paint offered by MGRacing. It's similar quality but a lot less money.

I painted mine red this summer with the Folia Tec red paint. Looked awesome. Then after the next track day, here's what they looked like...

Now, when I am finally able to get my car into storage, I'm pulling the calipers completely off, having them sandblasted to get that damn paint off and either leave them stock or have them powerdcoated. One consideration with painting the calipers is heat dissapation. If you track the car, I don't think it's a good idea and I shouldn't have done it...now the paint has almost completely flaked off, been burned off and frankly, they look horrible.

If you don't track it, do it...if you do, you may end up a very unhappy Folia Tec customer like me!

The Folia Tec paint on my calipers has held up reasonably well even with track use. But when I redo them I will pull them off and have them cad plated silver.

My son bought me caliper paint for Xmas and gave it to me early. We painted mine while he was home from school for the holidays. We used black because we had seen Greg's post before with the heat damaged red. My son bought the paint direct from the manufacturer after he discovered the sponsor was out of black.

While we were at it, we removed the casting marks and smoothed them up with a dremel and file. They now look smooooooth! I will post a photo later.

A catalog called Tweeksoffers a Porsche caliper paint. Go to http://www.tweeks.com/products2.html and scroll down until you see the photo/copy.
