Thanks, great link. Exactly what I'm thinking. One of my friends has an 06 997S and other than buzzing up to work and back, he doesn't do track days or autoX or group drives. Not that that is bad but really made me think about why he would cough up 1400 a month on his lease for the next 4 years for the priviledge.

I know I would be a more involved than he, but part of the prob is hammering away on a 92K car. Some people, me included, might not get the max out of the car for fear of damaging it or diminishing its value. Stupid but true. If I bought a new S2K I could care less if it got damaged.

BTW, I have my wife in a 745Li right now and will be replacing it with a Lexus LS460 this fall, so not like the S2K would be my only means of transport. My primary driver is an 05' Titan.
I know exactly what you are going through. Most people think I'm nuts when I tell them that I prefer the S. Frankly, most of those people have not driven either car. For 1/3 of the price, the Honda offers a very similar experience...if not better in many respects.

Do it and don't look back.

I went from an 01 M3 to my S. Apples and oranges. The M3 may be a great GT car, but it is not a sports car.

I don't quite know what your reasons were for turning over these cars, but if you've got money to burn, why not?

I can only say of the cars I've owned over my (not insubstantial) lifetime, the S fits me and my personality best.

i said it before and most thought i was crazy. i enjoy my modded s2k over the ferraris i drove. it was nice to drive it cuz it made u feel like someone special and it looked fantastic (on the outside), but while i was inside, it was good, but not great. and talk about worrying that it gets damaged.

so many people can't wait to "upgrade" away from the s2k cuz it's a honda. maybe you can speak generally to them on your thoughts.
