Default Comptech Intake

Well... I ordered my Comptech intake like about a week ago. Just received it today and installed it with one of my bois. Installation went well and everything but I have one issue about Comptech icebox. Their fitment sucks! or is because I installed it wrong? Everything seems to fit in place and no rubbing issue with the hood either. Everything that came with the Comptech intake I used, except for 1 bolt and 1 screw.

There are suppose to be 3 bolts to hold down the box but I ended up only using 2. The 3rd bolt could not fit because there was a gap between the box and the metal piece that i was suppose to bolt to hold it together.

Another thing was there was 1 screw left that I did not use. The last screw was to suppose to hold down the carbon fiber piece. There are suppose to be 3 screws to hold it down but I ended up using only 2. The third pre-drilled hole on the carbon fiber piece was a bit off so i could not screw down the third screw. If I were to force it then i would have broke something.

Does anybody have these issues?

Pics would be helpful of how your comptech intake! Thanks guys!

Extra screws, bolts and holes not aligned sounds like you need to take it off....and start over. Fitment is tight but it should fit snug and with ALL THE PARTS.

You'll either need to trim part of the icebox for the hood prop or take it out all together. I chose to take it out and use Vison hood dampers. I have no fitment issues whatsoever.

I had no problem with mine, like it was said it's a tight fit but it does fit.
