Concerns about car I looked at
Hey all, appreciate some insight if possible on an AP1 I test drove today. The car was in really good shape for being a 2000. Was red with black interior, everything stock minus a cold air intake.
The owner has put 20k on it and bought it from a CA buyer 3.5 yrs ago. The car had a buzzing when decelerating in any gear (don't think this is clutch buzz). He said the exhaust was creating the vibration from a small area where outer cover separated l from the pipe.
Also, when I punched it around mid RPM it would pull slightly to the right. Alignment out on rear end? Is that normal?
The clutch seemed very light, no chatter and engaged smoothly but seemed to engage a bit late on the pedal, around mid pedal or so. This normal on AP1?
Has 70k, so trying to keep realistic view given the age and there will be some issues based on miles.
Any clarity on these issues and if they are common or other theories as to what these could be.

How do you know its not clutch buzz?
Mid/upper pedal engagement is normal and is what you want.
The pedal is pretty light on any Honda clutch. Though with 70K of use, it should have stiffened up a bit. If the pedal is extremely light, it may have been replaced with an aftermarket clutch set. Which means you'll be replacing the clutch soon.
The darting on acceleration could be rear tires that have two different PSI's. Or an alignment. Or something else like a diff bushing, damaged part, etc. No way to tell without inspecting.
