why not just remove the amber piece from the ap2 tail?
plenty of ppl have done it for the headlights and it'd look great if it was done on the tail as well

 

Why don't you just keep the stock AP2 taillights? It looks better than the AP1 tailights, you're just thinking wrong.

upgrading AP1s with LEDs seems like a good amount of work and/or $$.

i feel the same way...i love the led and the look of the ap2 tail lights, but i dont like the amber piece. i say open up the ap2 tail lights and put a red film close to/or the same color of the red lens in there...shouldnt be to hard. js time consuming (i think)

 

just tint them completely black so you can't tell if it's ap1 or ap2.

just kidding but i would keep the ap2 lights. i mean you can't even see your taillight when you drive
