This is funny! Someone posts pics showing that they clearly ARE different, then everyone argues they're the same. Truely amazing how people can see without seeing!

If you read the pictures are of 1 JDM wheel and one USDM wheel...not of the 00-01 and 02-03. You should follow your own post....

No, they're the same.

I see S2000s of every year on a daily basis. I have an '01 and my roommate has an '02. They're parked next to each other every day. We have stock wheels lying all over our house.

They're the same except for the color.

Sorry.
Sorry for what? I couldn't care less if they were the same shape, its not like I think it makes the 02-03 'superior' in some way. Perhaps AUDM wheels are different for the 02-03 models? Our cars were parked right next to each other, under strong light and thats when the difference in shape really stood out. I wasn't the only person who noticed it either. We were at an impromptu 'meet' with 18 other vehicles present, including several s15's and skyline r33's.

If I get the opportunity to, I'll take pictures and post them to show the difference.

YOU post pictures of YOUR rims. I wanted that like three years ago, but couldn't afford it.
i wish I had pics of mine, but i've got one close to it.

project X's car has his wheels done the same way as i do, however he has a CF lip, and CF eyelids.

my car has no lip, bodycolor headlights w/ smoked corners and JDM clear turnsignals

I hope project X doesnt mind me postin pics of his car...

IMO it looks hot, and is second only to the more expensive aftermarket rims in terms of looks.

Oops. I didn't see you were in Australia. I'm not familiar with the differences in years there. But if you're definitely seeing a difference then maybe Australia switched to the JDM wheels in '02 just like the European market. Maybe another AUS guy will chime in here.

Anyway, I'm REALLY sorry this time

The '00 and'01 rims were more prone to pitting. If you do a search from a few years ago you might find some discussion on this. It was believed that Honda changed the finish to identify the difference between the two.

I bought a set of '01 rims from an S2KI member a few years ago for snow tires, and I've never seen any difference in shape. My '01 rims do have some small white pits on the inner side of the rim (not easily visible when looking at the wheels on the car) but it's not a big deal.

Haha, not a problem my friend...I have just as much to be sorry for. I assumed the USDM and AUDM wheels were the same, but they're obviously not if we're both seeing different things.

A silly misunderstanding, and it never got out of hand - so its all good

^ That's the Optional BBS wheel. The standard JDM wheel is pictured above in this thread.
