Confusion about s2000 wheels

It's different in Europe. The '00-'01 wheels are the same as the USDM wheels. The '02-'03 wheels are the same as the JDM wheels pictured above.
The MY00 and MY01 European spec wheels are NOT the same as the USDM spec wheels, but the are identical to the JDM (and Aus spec) wheels.
From MY02 and onward the wheels are identical between both Euro spec and USDM spec (and probably JDM and Aus spec too).
I have a MY01 USDM spec car and the OEM wheels are not the same as on a MY01 Euro spec car. I have the 'short' spokes with round rim edge, whereas the non-USDM spec wheels have spokes that run smoothly over the rim edge.

This is funny! Someone posts pics showing that they clearly ARE different, then everyone argues they're the same. Truely amazing how people can see without seeing!

Any questions?
My '01 and '02 rims are as pictured above by CoralDoc ...
My question would be why?
I believe there was some pitting problems on the early wheels.
Was that the reason for the change and are the MY02+ less prone to that?
