Even though I have a older model S2000, I got a good deal on it...35k on the dash, msrp was 24k, I walked out the door at 19k..Fully loaded..lip kit an so on...Oh yeah including Honda care an a extended warranty...Its all about patience an showing them that ur stickin to ur price...

I don't know who told you to get an AP1 but that's crazy. As an AP1 owner I can honestly say I'd get the newer car given the chance. Prices on AP2s, even used ones, are where the AP1s were last year when I bought mine. I say get the newest version of this car that you can afford. In your case you're looking at brand new ones anyways, the last year of the AP1 was 2003, that's a huge difference from 2007 models (both in price and wear/tear). Buy an AP2.

That's not to completely rule out AP1s. I found mine garaged next to a guy's Porsche collection with only 7000 miles on the clock. The car had 3 oil changes to its name and nothing else. It was absolutely mint, not a scratch on it. I bought it for a terriffic price too, I couldn't be happier with mine. That said, I would have just as easily bought an AP2 had I been able to find one with the low miles for the same price.
