Convertible seals & separate oil question
I'm considering buying an '02 s2k, and am wondering if anyone has had/experienced any issues or problems with the seals on the convertible since I live in Washington state (occasional rain) and plan to drive daily.
Separate subject: If a car (s2k in this case) has been using regular oil for up to 30k miles or so, would it be a bad idea to switch to synthetic oil? I've heard that it should be used after 10k mi. after break-in, but not too long after since seals are formed w/ regular motor oil that could possibly be broken by the smaller, slicker compounds of the synthetic oil, causing problems that didn't exist before.
Thanks all!!

about the seals:
just treat them with shin-etsu grease every 6months to a year and you'll be fine. also, make sure not to take the car to any automatic car wash. that can cause leaks.
about the oil:
i know many owners that have switched to synthetic at high mileage and they have had no problems.
