Convertible Top Hole Patch Thread
title / description about says it all - I've looked & searched but can't seem to find the thread that has SilverKnight's description of the process and supplies used for creating the patches for the future wear holes in S tops?
I've read several different threads that Honda has added material to the MY04 tops - does anyone know if the top hole issue has actually been corrected for MY04 or has anyone seen signes of premature wear on their MY04 tops?

I'd say its probably several months back. But heres a quick overview.
Get some thick pieces of fabric. Cut them up to right size kinda of like a large square or rectange but not to big. (mines not noticable at all) Buy some silicone adehsive at your car parts store. Once it dries which it does in seconds it stays on no matter what and is verrrry flexible and won't come off even in 95-100 degree heat tested it here when it was very hot. If you find you need to add to the surrounding areas in case you didnt get the right size, then its simple repeat process and cut a smaller piece and stick it next to the first patch, no more wear hole worries.

forgot to add, patience is important here. It could get messy if you rush.
Also I didnt have the holes yet but I could see they were forming. This is a good preventive step. It would have come sooner or later. I dont wait for things so I took care of it early. hope that helps
