Default Convertible Top Leaks?

I'm curious if anyone has had leaks from rain with their convertible tops?
I have read that it is appropriate to pad the wear points where the top frame
meets the top, and questioned why....

this is an issue for me, as I have had leaks in other convertibles, and leaks
are a definite PIA!!

Anyone?

If you run a search you will find previous posts on just this subject. Applying a small amount of Shin-etsu grease on your rubber gaskets will usually cure minor leaks.

Take care of the rubber and you won't have any problems.

YES i have had problems with my top leaking. it was due to the rubber seal on my driver side getting deformed.

How do you "take care of leather" like on the top? And where would you apply the care product?

There is no leather in our top?

Our tops are made of vinyl. Use a cleaner product then protectant to keep the top looking dark and protecting it from the sun. Popular choices are Raggtop or 303.

Shin-etsu on the rubber seals as was mentioned above.
