I WOULD HELP AND PETITION BUT MY TOP GOT SLASHED THE OTHER DAY SO NO MATTER WHAT THE INSURANCE IS BUYING ME A NEW ONE
MINE WAS A 01 WITH 43K I NOTICED AROUND 40K THE TEARING STARTED TO GET BIGGER

The point is, "in warranty" is "in warranty" and "out of warranty" is "out of warranty". End of discussion.
IF they decide to fix something for free (goodwill warranty) then you get lucky, but otherwise out of warranty means you are on your own.
If you don't like it, you can always start buying the cars with the 10-yr warranties. If nobody bought Hondas because their warranty was too short, they would extend it.
Now the people who were in the warranty and had it denied as a "wear item" -- that's BS.

now going on my 3rd top in less than 3 years. The service manager even went as far as fabricating a BS story so they wouldn't have to cover my top. I'd be one of the first to sign this petition. This 3rd top needs to be installed due to the service dept. not knowing what they're doing
