You'll love it the first time you run up on a curb and it saves the bottom of your bumper

I ordered one and backed out once I saw some pics in the gallery that gave me the impression it looked sorta home made.

I've never seen one in person but I dont know.

My car is pretty low and I thought I would end up just warping the hell out of it coming out of driveways.

yeah, i took it off and shipped it back. I really didn't like it, esp. for $90 after shipping. I will update on how the return goes.

The reason I got the protector is to absorb the impact and abrasions of curbs and parking blocks, saving the front end from damage. After taking a few hard scrapes and impacts with it, I don't think a more precisely finished product would look any better. From my experience, it does what its supposed to do.

I usually dont get close to parking blocks... our car is about a foot or two shorter than most other cars so I will usually give my front end that much distance from the parking blocks and the rear end is even with most other cars.

A trick I learned somewhere is to pull in until your door is even with the rear door of a 4 door sedan... then stop. That's usually the perfect amount of space.

So with that the splitter just wasnt worth it and didnt look that great anyways... I have a ap2 front end and lip conversion so my comments were in reference to their ap2 lip protector thingy

Im thinking about ordering the AP1 splitter and try to bolt it onto my lip which is off the car atm. I know the splitter is designed to be bolted to the bumper but im sure its possible to drill holes and bolt it up together.

Then bolt the entire lip/splitter onto the bumper.

Has anyone attempted this

or

possibly use spacers and longer bolts and im sure it will work, for added strength I can glue the splitter aswell too the lip.
