Default coworker's stook got flooded...

I'll post pics later if I get around to scanning them in...anyways.

It's very very likely insurance will declare it totaled. Anything salvageable from the car that the insurance folks won't miss? We could only think of the shift knob...

Was he/she a member of this board? I know of 2 others that were totalled in the Allison downpour.

Your friend might consider buying the car back from the insurance company if they total it. My dad had a 240Z in Boston that was stolen and wound up in a tidal pond. It was recovered, totaled and my dad bought it back for pennies on the dollar.

He spent the Winter drying out the mechanicals and got the engine restarted in pretty short order. To make a long story short, by Spring he had it back together and sold it to a friend of my brother's (yes, he knew the history). The friend drove it another several thousand miles without any problems.

Either way, if he doesn't want the shifter, I got dibs!

I was thinking the HID ballasts...if the water didn't get to them.
