Default Crossover in the radio/speakers?

I installed a high powered Alpine head-unit and speakers. I notice that I'm not getting any bass out of my speakers barely. Does the AP1 have a stock stereo crossover already built in? My Memphis speakers I installed come with a crossover and I hooked it up ... but ...WTF! I'm getting no base. When I turn the volume up I'm getting the bass to just bottom out... Noob here any thoughts ????? would help! Thanks!

The only crossover component in the stock system is a capacitor to block bass to the stock tweeter. You removed it when you removed the stock tweeter. Think maybe you have the two mid-woofers out of phase with each other? This would cause cancellation of bass. Check your wiring.
