I've tried using the cruze control in the lower gears...it works very poorly... tends to lurch. The cruze control is too agressive on throttle when at high rpms.

At Thunderhill, we were told we could take our cars out for some "parade" laps just to get more familiar with the course as long as we didn't go above 35 mph. After grumbling for a few minutes about how ridiculous that was, I finally did go out, put it in second gear and engaged cruise control at 35 mph. It worked fine for that purpose, plus I was able to focus on the driving line, which helped later.

cruise control @ 43mph in 1st gear!?! Looks like a question for a Houstook, only they'll be able to tell you if it can be done in reverse too

Hmm.. I've never thought of trying to use cruze control in reverse... sounds like a job for Lips or Gregg
