Of all the resonator removal threads, this one with the pics is what I used to show the speed shop, so I will tack on my opinion here.
Just had it done. All the good things people have said are exactly right.
Just a little louder, just a little more agressive, just a little........more.
Perfect for those who dont want to spend alot and dont want to get too loud. No buzzing that I could hear. (Have yet to have someone drive by me in it though.)
Oh, and way out here in the middle of the country (Omaha), it cost me $150 bucks, and that was the cheapest price I could find. Only 3 places in town would do it. Welds are buttercream frosting smooth though, beautiful.

^^ $150!!!!! Holy crap... what a rip off. I bet you anything that if you returned in a civic for a similar job they would have charged $40 like everyone else. I agree that the mod is pretty cool and am happy with it, but no way in hell would I pay that much for it.

For $150 you can buy a test pipe that will bolt on and actually give gains + a little more noise (similar to resonator delete but a little more "raspy"). I paid 30 + 10 dollar tip. Took the guy less than 10 minutes to complete the job.

If you want to hear the No res with tp at WOT then check out this vid...

me vs. evo9

You can hear it as we go by the camera car for a quick second, but it's more then enough to let you know how it will sound with those mods. so much sweater in person though. And yes my car is making all the noise, the evoMR is stock.

hope that helps.
Sounds like a crazy speed bike!
I like..

Can you get any more sound clips of you passing the camera?

Ok, a little defense here. I did not even consider a test pipe due to the stink and the previously reported "raspy" addition to the noise.
And as far as $150 being a rip off, a price charged is as good as what the market will bear. 1 full on race shop would do it for $80 per hour (2 hour quote) plus parts. There was a " 'merican " speed shop that would mig weld it if I made them but "we usually just clamp those". There was another race shop that said they could do the work, but I could never get a quote. There was 6 muffler shops I personally visted and called EVERY other muffler shop/chain in the phone book...same response "stainless steel? We dont do that." And finally the 1 import speed and sound shop I found that does tig weld stainless exhaust's and engine builds and such. They looked underneath and quoted $150 including parts and labor.
So, since this mod is exactly what I want (little more sound, not a LOT of money compared to a whole new cat back system), and it was a b-day gift from the wife, and I had NO other choices, this seemed like a fair price. If there was 3 or 4 shops around that would do this then the "supply" would be higher and perhaps the price would be lower for my "demand". Omaha is not a exactly a podunk town, but the overall population appently does not supprt more than 1 of these shops.(that I could find).
It was a frustrating search.
In the end what matters is that I am satisfied.
Rant over

I don't know why people don't like the raspy sound of a test pipe / resonator removal. I've got a test pipe on my car and I freaking love the raspy sound. Almost sounds like a ferrari

I mean seriously, whats not to love about this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geN47lPCGt8
