Cutting out the resonator? Sound clip?
which borla would fit there? it's cramped space... that and you'll heat up your rear differential housing with the muffler being there.
that was my problem putting a muffler there. I'm thinking, I'll get a magnaflow, mini muffler and put it in the place of the Cat.

Why would you put a muffler instead of a resonator
If you figured out a way to get it put together, then it would just make your exhaust even quieter then stock most likely. Unless you mean to remove your stock mufflers after?

well i know that it wouldnt sound the same with the oem muffs on but the way i see it if a res makes that big off a difference then a borla muff would give it a lower tone.i would think anyways, and i would put it closer to the cat not right where the res was.

Anyways, I went to get my res removed just an hour ago after I got off work. The guy spent an hour, I paid $50 (Seems a bit high but oh well it's Canada here). I think he used 2.5 on mine.. instead of 2.25. Everything was tight enough after, so he said hanger isn't necessary. Well, like many other people said, I would strongly recommend this for those who just want a bit of deeper sound. Some have said the sound didn't really change but for some reason, for me it was GREATLY noticeable. No rasp or any weird sound, just a deeper growl which I really like it.

In your first vid where it compares no res vs no res and tp, the latter one just sounded really weird in the end. Isn't it the problem with the video? I mean how can it sound like that.

I also had the res replaced with a 2.5 inch pipe sliped over the factory oones after res was removed.
Side Note: saves about 5 lbs too
I just had my resonator taken out. Definitely is louder and sounds great. Not a huge difference at all, but is noticeable. I think it sounds like stock just a little louder. The sound at startup was different the first couple of times, but seems to have changed since the first two times turning it on. I am happy I removed it and think it is a worthwhile little mod to do. Don't gain anything at all, but if your going for a little more sound then this is the way to go.
