This is definately the next mod on my list after I install my Wilwoods.

There isn't an aftermarket exhaust out there right now for my 04 that has me saying "I gotta have that" so in the meantime this will be my solution.

I like the way the stock exhaust and tips look on the '04 and I just wanna add that little something to the exhaust note, this sounds like the thing to do

I have a Spugen Dual Oval system on my car, it kept getting quieter and quieter over the past year, almost to the point where it was sounding like a stock exhaust. So, I had the guys at Spugen perform a resonator-ectomy. The first few days it was deafeningly loud, after two weeks it has mellowed out and now sounds great. Deeper, meaner, there's some F1 sound in there.

The stock exhaust would definitely benefit from a resonator-ectomy.

Hmm... it seems that my exhaust is sagging on the right maybe 1/4"-1/2" after having it done, is there a hanger on the resonator that needs to be replaced? I'm not sure if they put a new one on or if they even need to... anyone know? I'll check to see if they did in an hour or so.

The resonator has a hanger, have them weld a hanger on the new section of pipe if they didn't

I just checked mine and its not hanging at all, perfectly straight both mufflers I even measured em up. Not sure if my installer put hangers on? I don't think he did....

Also when I use to start my car it use to be def quiet the exhaust. Now when I start it def sounds like an aftermarket exhuast. All you gotta do is stand next to it idling and hear the pretty sounds You can hear it several feet away easy growling

This sounds like an awsome mod...but the only thing that bothers me is that by welding in a new piece of tubing you'll likely damage the coating (aluminide?) on the exhaust and cause longer term rusting issues. Please inform me if my fears are well founded.

thanks for the help,
Matt

my guy didn't have any SS pipe so he had to use a diff kind...and had to clamp it instead of weld. still sounds better though!

since this is just an intermediate step for me before going with tanabe down the road, i don't care how clean the job is. just wanted the increase in sound and i got it.
