Daily Driver?
Home Despot and Lowes both now offer pickup or van rentals, by the day or the hour. Very cheap. No reason you have to use for hauling stuff bought from them. Can just as easily use for Ikea or other larger items. Costco TV, whatever.
So no need to have a daily that can fill that occasional niche. Even if S is not your daily, this rental option maybe means your daily doesn't have to be an suv.

as long as you don't live where it's always snowing and you don't live in the most dishonest cities with stupid drivers/people jacking your car I say go for it.
I DD'd my s2000 for a full year, about 15,000 miles when my other car was down. I still rotate between this car and my other and if it's nice outisde I'll DD the s2000 for the entire week, figure I help balance miles between the two(120+ miles daily)

I have been DD'ing my 03 for 1.5 years (almost 30k miles) and I will continue to do so until I pay it off (few more years).
Reasons it works as a DD for me is:
- I'm young, no kids, no wife
- No pets
- I live in NC (I would not want to DD this in a place that got loads of snow)
- My commute to work is virtually all highway with no bumper to bumper traffic (The S sucks in traffic in my opinion)
I have found myself in situations where I wish I had a larger car, but when I put the top down and wind through some gears, I remember why I DD my S....
It's SO DAMN FUN!

I have put over 100,000 daily driven miles on a Honda S2000, but live in an area where it doesn't snow.
You'd be surprised how easy it is to live with, especially if you keep it close to stock. You will have to make the occasional sacrifice - you will have to be conscious of trunk space when on grocery runs (though I've found with determination, you can do really well) - you won't be able to help anyone move - You will only be able to take one passenger with you at all times.
But on the other side, it is one of the best cars ever made. I'm not joking, the chassis, the engine, the build quality are all at a very high level. I have driven exotics that are less fun to drive.
It will spoil you. You'll never want to drive anything else.

Hey guys,
I have feel in love with the s2000 but unfortunately my situation right now only allows me to have one car. I honestly do not give a damn about ride comfort or any of that but I do want to know if people have been able to do this before. Please share your experiences and let me know if I'm completely insane. Thanks.

Yes, it's completely possible to daily drive an S2000 if you live in a relatively mild climate. It wouldn't be the best for much ice/snow or if you have need for hauling a significant amount of items/people.
