Daily Drivers?
i found this quote on a thread on here a while back, "Not putting miles on your S2K is like not having sex with your girlfriend so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend" with that being said, I have 2 other cars and I DD mine. I just bought a turbo kit for mine with a gt35r, so unfortunately it may not be my daily after I get the kit installed and tuned
I would never daily drive an S2000. If I could only have one vehicle I'd probably just drive the Tacoma and use my sport bike for when I felt the need for speed and hitting the curves.
I'm over driving impractical vehicles as an only car. Having a truck is so great if you like outdoor activities.

DD here...about 40 miles a day. Not usually to run errands and go about town (since we do that as a family and need to use the Pilot or Prius to do so).
Love the car...I bought it to be my DD and since I have always wanted one. I was waiting to get a new one but waited a little too long - but I did find the beautiful 05 NFR with 53k miles at the time (near 57k now) back in October.
As long as you maintain it and don't beat up on it too bad, the car should last a long time. And it sure is a blast to drive!

I specifically bought the S2000 as a DD to keep my other car home. Since buying it, changed jobs and now only 20 miles RT. OTOH, it would be nice if I had a beater for my beater, so I would not have to take it out in the salt -- among other things.
That said, I can undertstand those who have an S2000 as their "good car" and drive a Corrollover to work and shopping.

I drive my s2000 almost everyday, only have a 10-12 minute drive to work. So even though I'm driving everyday, the miles are not piling up. Every other car is just boring to drive.
But I do have a backup car for when it is icy/snowing. I'm looking to buy a WRX for winter...if anyone has a lead for something under 9k I'd be thrilled.

I daily drove my 2004 model year for 3.5 years, through all seasons, for 64k+ miles.
I daily drive my current 2007 model year for almost 3 years now, through all seasons and I have almost 47k+ miles.
Honestly, this car, as with every other car, was made to be driven. There are no "garage beauties" at my house. What's the point of having the beautiful car like the S2000 if not to drive it? My opinion is if you want sometime pretty to look at, buy at TV.
My heart would break if I didn't get to drive my car all the time, which never happens. And yes, the S2000 is my only car.
Regards,
Christopher
