The "Scat Mat" has worked well for me. Cover the car, place the mat on the hood or roof, the evil beast jumps up to get cozy and ZAP- gets the crap shocked out of it! We have 2 cats that live in the garage and no matter how tempting those warm hoods are in the winter they both avoid the cars at all cost.
Good luck

GChambers,

I just read the whole thread you posted in the link. Too freak'n funny!!! I was literally laughing out loud at the cat/mit story.

I, personally, love cats. I have two myself; even let them sleep in our bed. But I wouldn't hesitate to bust a cap in either of them if I caught them on my car.

There's certain lines that animals don't cross with me. The main three big no-no's being anything that harms my wife, my kids or my cars.

Talked to the manager today, she said its not with all her tenants, so it is a stray cat . Told me the best solution is to mix white vinegar and water 50/50 or conetrated if you like and spray it around the car. Its stinky as hell, so I think I'll do this and also head to Big5 to get a 100 rounds bb gun. She gave me permition to open fire so here we go

I don't do anything to scare the cat while it's on my car. Don't want the scratches from scaring it. So I gently coax it off with food or milk. But when I see it in my yard I give it the 'ol 1 pump shot in the ass. Not enough to break the skin but let's just say I've never seen cat's jump that high and run that fast. Keeps them out of my yard and from potentially getting on my cars.
