Gentlemen....There is a TSB regarding this problem. The fuel neck inlet must be replaced as it was manufactured out-of-round. My guy at Wesoloh Honda was all over it. It's a warranty deal.....FYI.....

I thought it was just me. I'd turn it at least three clicks then after driving I'd smell gas fumes. Get out look at gas cap, re-turn it and it would finally seat. I think I'll go to the dealer for the TSB, thanks for the tip Morgan!

I had same problem. Dealer changed cap, but light came on again. Changed the filler neck and no problems since. ( This was in late '02).

epn, sorry I don't know the TSB #. But you are a short drive to San Jaun Capistrano. See Tony Ivey at Weseloh Honda...I'm sure he'll take care of it....

They cater to S owners...They are up on the TSB's...They surf this site...They are aware of most of the nagging probs associated with the S...They will install your Comptech Supercharger....

I got a CEL last night on the way home, I topped off the night before (had three bars) and had driven about 40 miles since and was rolling on the throttle coming down an on ramp and the car stumbled for a split second, picked up and then stumbled again. At first I thought "maybe I got a bad tank of gas" and continued on my way home then about 5 miles down the highway the CEL lit up. I was worried I had a misfire or something serious but took it to the dealer and it turns out my gas cap that is tough to turn when about half on (so I turn it from the outside diameter) was malfunctioning so they replaced it. I will have to look into the fuel neck out-of-round thing though that's probably the real issue.
