Default In-Dash Garage Door Opener

Has anyone installed this garage door opener in a S2000? It seems that it might fit in the button location for the rear window defroster (if you do not have the hard-top option). See this link ===> http://www.mikadotech.com

I really like the idea. I have a remote that controls my gate as well, but I lock it in the center console and sometimes I forget to unlock the console on my way home and have to turn the car off to get to the darn remote to open the gate and garage.

The site does not indicate it is available for the S2000 at this time. Also, no prices and the installation shows how to put it in, but not how to pull it out to change the batteries. Since it appears flush I don't want to tear the front up everytime I need new batteries.

More info and I would be interested in one (only downside is the rolling code model looks like more to install). It appears to work like the homelink system in my other car.

It should work. Can't see why not. Might need to run some power to it unless it is battery powered.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I was thinking about going to a junk yard
and looking for a chrysler with this option cause I remember seeing it built into sunvisors on older chryslers.

Very

BUT...

I'd much rather it was powered off the car's 12V supply (no batteries) and off the ignition circuit (security). I don't like the idea of an live remote just sitting in my car while I'm not there.

Nothing sophisticated, but I put some velcro strips on my remote opener and stuck it under the right side of the dash between the steering wheel and stereo. It is out of sight, easy to reach, and removable if I want it to be.
