Dry cell batteries that go through freeze and thaw cycles will have their longevity reduced... Does changing the battery require removing the center console?

I would not mine a hardwired solution that uses the connector for the hardtop...

Doesn't the Mikado remote for 'Rolling Codes' defeat the purpose of the rolling codes. It looks like the receiver that you have to add to the garage door opener probably has a fixed code. Does this make sense?
