i think the problem stems from the fact the interior door panels are basically designed and use similar parts from mid 90s hondas. Such as the door handles etc.

Take a look at the new civic and accord and compare their interiors to the S2000 and tell me which looks 'dated'.

Its a simple fact that the s2000 is a 10 year old car and probably a 15 year old design. So yes its DATED.

The interior of the Civic will look modern in 10 years and dated in 20, that doesn't make for good comparison.
