Just out of sheer curiosity has anyone switched their DBW over to cable driven throttle body?

 

i'm sure it can be done, but this would entail AAAALOOOOT! plus, it would also get rid of the vsa system, cruise control system, and some of the abs system, maybe more. why would you want to do this?

 

Like he said, sheer curiosity. I highly doubt that anyone would want to as well. There would be no advantage to it, only downside.

 

Well I know theres a lot of EM systems that dont support DBW, which sux. I used to have a 04' celica GTS and it was DBW, if I wanted to boost it i woulda had to convert to cable TB and change ecu blah blah. Yeah its a lot of work but the only way for that car. I've heard they are working on stuff already for the 06' and ups so the DBW system shouldnt be a problem

 

yeah, pretty sure there is about to be an 06/07 supercharger kit released. comtech/vortech, i'm not sure who. maybe both.

 

I think they already have an aftercooled kit out (CT)
