Dealer Mess Up!
well i have decided to give them the car back and will do so next saturday when i am back in va beach, so i guess i will be back in my 01 CL-S again, oh well had fun in florida with it and maybe get one in the future thnx for everything

I HATE DEALERS>>>THEIR SUCH ASSHOLES. They'll try anything to rip you off.
When I first priced out the car at this dealership they said 399/month. I went back to the same guy a week later and he said now since its a different month its 445/month. I told him to sell it to someone else for that price. Anyway to make a long story short after a few hours of dealing with him they ended up selling it to me for the same price he gave me a week ago. Then they tried it on me again. I signed a lease for my car for 399/month. Then a few days later called me to come in to sign another paper. I go there and he says that its now 441.month with the bank finance which was 3.5%APR. I said that was too much then he gave me this crap that If I bring in a copy of my college degree that they'll drop the APR to 3.0 and get this it dropped the payment down to 421/month. That dosnt add up how does dropping th APR on it 1/2pt drop the price in half. I didn't sign anything and told them I was going to think about it. I went there the other day to give them my bill of sale for the car I traded in and they didn't mention anything about. I'll be picking up the plates today and we'll see if they say anything. I'll tell you this there not going to get another penny from me.
The worse part is they do this shit because people fall for it. There such theives. I could go on and on about how much I hate dealers.

This is possible... maybe not by quite that much in payment, but a lease payment does steadily go up throughout the model year. The residuals on vehicles are updated every 2 months, and steadily go down as the model ages, thus raising payments.
In order to get you the payment you wanted, they took a risk in dropping your money factor to a level in which they hoped the bank would buy it. The bank did not--this is why you were called back in. The college degree is an attempt to qualify you for AHFC's college grad program. Yes a drop in money factor from 3.5 to 3.0 will easily change your payment 20/mo. I'm surprised it's not more.
Also I dont mean to disrespect all dealers, but where I'm from they try to rip you off if they can, and they will if you're not prepared. I've been to dealers with some friends when they were buying a truck and they try to pull some things with them. My friend priced out a truck they wanted $21,000.00. He brought them down to $18,000.00. He left and called him back and said he was no longer interested that he found something else, and the dealer said "ohh wait did I mention to tell you that we're giving a $2000.00 discount on this truck because its May." Why did he all of a sudden remember about the $2000.00 discount. Because he was trying to get him for another $2,000.00 How do they go from asking $21000.00 to $16,000.00, thats a big difference.
The way I look at it is like this. Its a buisness, they're in it for money, just like any other buisness, I just don't like they way they go about it. And they do this because people fall for it, and they get people for an additional $2000.00. Just like they tried to get me for an additional $1008.00 by increasing my monthly payment by $22. I signed a lease contract for $399/month, if they weren't sure that bank wasn't going to approve of it why did they even bother having me sign all that paper work. And since then they haven't mentioned anything to me about that. There still making money off the car and me with the $399/month, they just tried to make an additional $1000.
well here is the final edition of this long and painful story, well i went to honda today and they asked me if i wanted to still keep the S and i told them i did and they said if i could give them 2 grand then they would go thru with the deal and it would be done. So I agreed and its now a done deal for real
