Default Dealer Options, Which to pick?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has some favorite options that they consider a must for the car?

I really want to get the hardtop but the rest is questionable. Also, would $34,400 be a good price for a 2002 with the hardtop?

Thanks for the help,

Well let's see $34400- 32840 = 1560 for the hardtop. Most people pay about $1000 more than that for the hardtop, so I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

Save yourself money. Don't get any dealer options. If there is something you want buy it from H&A and install it yourself. They are half as expensive as the dealer.

Jehman -

Here's an answer you're sure to hate. It depends.

If you're good with tools and don't mind working on cars yourself, then skip all the dealer installed options. All of them can be found for much cheaper than the avg. dealership is asking by looking towards site sponsos. If you're like me and you're lazy and think you're time is better spent on other things then drive the dealer's price down and have them install the options (I had the front and rear spoilers installed on both of my S2K's).

As to the price you quoted, that also depends. For example, how many miles are on the car in question? Is it the color you want? If the car hasn't been test drivein (say 8 miles or so on the odo), it's the color you want, then yes.. that's a pretty good price.

My Honda options I got through the internet and installed myself with instructions from the seller.

If you're willing to patiently do the work yourself, and you have all the tools shown on the first page of the downloadable instructions, then you're probably better doing it yourself than having the dealer do it and have to check over their work.

If you don't have good experience doing these types of installs yourself, then I say negotiate a good price from the dealer and let them do it.
