is dealer trying to rip me off??

what kind of oil do dealerships over there use? over here i know some of the dealerships use Kendall 10W-30. i know it can be purchased at places other than the dealership. but yeah, anything more than $30-35 is way too much. hope you find a place to get it done cheaper.

The best ones use the Mobil oil formulated to Honda specs. The bottle is blue and has a huge Honda logo on it with a little Mobil logo on the bottom.

its not the money its just that it pisses me ooff theres a dealer ship about 10min from my house who weill do it for the normal price

I don't get it? Who says there is a "normal price"? Maybe the dealer hates doing oil changes, maybe they have enough business doing other work and oil changes "get in the way". (I really doubt this but hang with me) If I was in this situation, I'd simply raise the price till people stopped bring me those "pesky" oil change jobs. The few customers that still bring their cars to me now pay enough to "make it worth the effort"

I truly doubt this is the case, but if you never spent the money, you were never ripped off. Honda is branding Mobil oil now, and are considering endorsing a Honda branded version of Mobil 1.
