i wonder if it can be anything else... i'm wondering because a) i thought the clutch buzz was gone after '02 ap1...and b) i only have 10.2k miles (i thought it happened after more miles than that)

any help would be great..thanks
The AP2 is not immune to the clutch decel buzz, however, it is very easy to have a case of mistaken identity. If you've never heard the clutch buzz, you might mistake it for the shift stick "ring" as indicated here:

Good timing on this thread!

I had asked this same question a while back and the only response I got was to change the tranny fluid. I did this and it made no difference.

I also brought the car in to the dealer and they said they had no idea what I was talking about and couldn't hear the buzz. I was going to bring it in again very soon since my certified used bumper to bumper warranty will expire in a couple months.

Now I have the TSB to show them! thanks!

so does anyone know if my warranty will actually cover this? I have an '02 and this tsb is for 00-01.

interesting.. someone even mentioned that it went away after putting the voodoo knob on...
i've had my S stored since december... i took the voodoo knob off and moved it to my civic. i'm using the stock shiftknob right now. i'll try to swap back this week and see if it goes away.
would there be some issue because the vehicle was stored for 3~4 months?

My feeling on this is that long storage won't like affect the clutch springs, while it can affect the lubrication at the bottom of the stick where this ringing originaltes.
The clutch buzz becomes more evident when that area of the drivetrain gets very hot. The most pronounced buzz, on my car, happens after heat builds up. On a hot day, this manifests itself much sooner after going out on a drive.

BTW, the clutch buzz is not a mechanical "problem". It has no relationship to how the car functions. It's just a noise. Nothing more, nothing less. It's only troublesome to some owners because they can't tolerate the sound.

Hard to look cool when I roll into the parking lot and my S2 sounds like an '83 accord with 200,000 miles rattling all the way to the parking spot.

It really is annoying. Even my fiance always says "what the heck is that noise?" when we're driving along.
