I seriously hope this is not true. This is making my heart cringe. I hope this doesn't come to be true.
Think of all the fun you'll have laughing and pointing at the new 2010 S1400 owners.

Imagine if you had just bought a 2007 AP2 and took it out to the track bone stock. Next to you there is a bone stock 2007 AP2 CR, and over the course of five laps it beats you by 10 seconds. Would you consider paying another $5 for that? If no, then you're not a hardcore racer, but there are a lot of hardcore racers that run S2000s that would love to have a CR as a starting point over a stock S2000.
$5, ot $5,000? Although it'll be more like $10,000 + at first. New S2K's can be had all day for < $100 over invoice when there are no rebates avail.. The CR will sell for sticker + markup at first... that's a HUGE pill to swallow, even for hardcore track guys.

It is easy enough to take the lip off, swap the trunk and slap on some Volks. Easy cosmetic DIY. I like the no soft top idea, just don't get caught in the rain without the hardtop
Good thing it isn't coming to Canada.

Yep, then add back in the AC since most CR's will have it I'd guess....

the car is priced about right. it comes with a hardtop +3000, front spoiler + 400, rear wing +400, and tires and suspension + 1500 so 39gs sounds about right. just no real major performance improvements.
