[quote name='S2000GT' date='Mar 18 2007, 10:03 AM']yeah, but i think you are getting confused here - the CR is NOT the 08 S2000.

why'd they have to call it the "cr" of all things?
Maybe because they can get Americans to believe anything.

Who says 260hp? that's just a rumor, there are no concrete facts and IMO it'll most likely stay at 240/237hp, at least that's the safest bet until AHM says differently.

Your car came with 237 HP already. Manufactures rate at the flywheel. It's only 23HP more. Not THAT big of a deal.

from what is being posted youll be lucky to get one. If you can, you could probably add another $10k onto that price. I cant imagine too many dealers would be letting them go for invoice, let alone msrp
You're joking right? Who would pay $47 grand for an S with the minor changes that have been suggested here, that is, 30 more hp and maybe removal of the sound deadening? More significant changes would be necessary, I think, to sell many at that price.

Dealer in Texas is selling new 2007 S2000 for $29,990. Any significant markup on the CR version is crazy. Acura Sold the Zanardi NSX at the same price point as the regular NSX.

Zanardi NSX is similar to the CR . It lost 150 lbs but kept the AC and radio. Lost the power steering and got Alcantar seats, hardtop, and stiffer suspension along with lightweight BBS wheels and thinner glass for weight reduction. No power upgrades for the Zanardi.

Don't fall for the price hype. If dealers gouge or Honda prices it high. The car won't move and give them 6 months and dealers will be asking you to take it off their lot. It was the same for the Zanardi. Acura didn't move all the Zanardi until the end of the model year, and only 50 Zanardi NSX came to USA.
