We'll see.
what's suprising is that no one has caught this vehicle testing. if its going to be released to the public in april why hasn't anyone seen it at the ring or any other track? i'm pretty sure they've been testing this vehicle the past twelve months and not just after the news release.

This points to the likelihood that this is coming straight from the factory (Japan), assuming it's coming at all. But, Honda is very good at secrecy.
Just to let you know.
Over here in Europe we have the Civic Type-R for 22000 Euro's in basic trim
And you can get the race prepped version (no A/C, no sound deadening materials, no radio etc) for 20000 Euro's

i know that honda has a press imabargo just like toyota and are very secretive when it comes to new releases but it surprises me that not one single spy shot has been taken.
BTW, I highly doubt the motor will be higher revving, or have a significant increase in hp or torque (that is unless the warranty is void the moment you drive off the dealer lot).
I wonder if AHM is going to include SCCA membership pamphlets (featuring an S2000) with purchase...anyone remember back in 2000?
Honestly, the car needs to be killed. Wait another 20 to 40 years and come out with another anniversary "S". As for the "CR", what can't a used S2000 modded to the liking of the owner do that the "CR" will be able to do? Keep in mind that a used S2000 can be bought significantly cheaper than what this one may sell for.
The wait to 4/4 will be short....however the wait to 4/13 (see my sig) is killing me
There's only 3 lips thats offered for the AP2 (Correct me if I'm wrong). Mugen, OEM and APR.
Maybe on the new model (CR) the nose will change or they will add a new lip.
Hmmm.. That would be a cool concept huh?

You're joking right? Who would pay $47 grand for an S with the minor changes that have been suggested here, that is, 30 more hp and maybe removal of the sound deadening? More significant changes would be necessary, I think, to sell many at that price.

Who PAID the 10-15-20 thousand dollars OVER MSRP for '00 S2000s?
People will pay it. You are forgetting the general stupidity of the general public.
