Don't be a fool. Wait 6 months and any markup will be gone. If the deamand is as hot as some of us think it is, Honda will build more. There is no supply issue at the Honda plant. It aint' a Ferrari.
If history is any indication:

The S800 coupe, Zanardi edition NSX, CRX Si, and ITR were all limited lifespan cars. Hell, I'm sure Honda could sell more ITRs now given the demand vs current supply.....doesn't mean they'll make them.

Something about building only 200-500 "proper" CR's would re-kindle an interest in the S2000 for the MY2008 to help sell 5000-7000 of the non-'proper' CR's.

Smart move by AHM.

Now if some of the lightness comes from adding aluminum subframes, control arms, and doors, I sure hope they all make it to Honda parts list so that non-CR's can have an option to add them.

BC, do you know if the CR suspension is also made by Showa?
I bet they use Showa just like in the current S2000 oem setup, Mugen, and Spoon coilovers.

[QUOTE=gripstyle1,Apr 3 2007, 12:23 PM] Still, I wonder. Mugen has come up a lot in the discussions of the new CR. Maybe providing some new aero design or techno goodies? We all know that M-Tech (Mugen Motorsports) is closely associated with Honda motor co, so I wonder if this Mugen Pure Sport Concept shown at the

Will the reduced weight be enough to make up for a lack of HP? I don't see 100-150lbs making a huge difference on this car.

Also if they are going for more down force the benefits of weight reduction will be lost at higher speeds anyway.

This model seems to be an attempt at giving the tuner community a better building base. I'd also like to know the % of the people interested in this car who would actually track the car vs. making it a show piece.
100-150 lbs not make a difference???? The S is a light weight car for what it is, you take out 150 lbs and you will notice, especially since the car is low on torque to begin with.

I totally agree....those of us with stock s2000's can clearly tell the difference when we have a heavy passenger(no pun intended). Am i wrong?
