you could lose 200lbs or more with CF body panels, taking your sound supressing materials, AC and Radio components out of your car. I mean, if they're gonna do more hp, they should of done something dramatic, instead of making something slightly better(lighter, more whp) and a lot worst (no A/C, no radio) at the same time.
Honda give us everything or give us nothing.
Is it just me or is everyone ignoring the fact that this may be the last of the S2000 as we know it? According to ToV this may be the end of the road, ushering in the redesigned replacement competing with the MX5. It seems that the specs of the CR is what everyone is enthralled with. Also, doesn't Honda save the SE (Special Edition) trim for the last year before a full model change? Just wondering why no one else has said anything about what seems to be the end of the road for the current model of S2000...
mine as well, raise the price a bit more, and put in real cf racing seats with rollbars, racing harness, no AC, no radio, CF dash or just a bare minimal of dash, CF center console, and hardtop with racing wheels and track tires from the showroom with a honda racing program coupons that contains 15% discount at track of your choice or something.
That would make more sense.

I think last year model anything from honda's overrated. They always come out with something relatively better after the discontinued model.
Take prelude for example. Sales went down, they killed the model, but it came back better with RSX-S, which would be the prelude if they didn't kill the model. It was just a better way to introduce the K series engine into a better package and upgrading the price. It's a good way to get K20A2 introduced and kill the H22a.
If s2000 dies, in my prediction, something just like it with V6 or more hp will come out from accura. They just can't keep the engine on the market forever. they need to move on after a while.
Even Evo has killed the fame 4g63, and that engine was just about perfect after 14 years of evolution.
but that's just me.

I think this is unnecessary . With all the aftermarket parts options you can make your car better than this 'CR' version. If honda wants to make something worthwhile they should do major changes not just adding hardtop and putting 20 hp more.
