Thats up to the manufacturer to let it upshift for you.
The only DSG equiped car right now are I think a few Audi's and the VW GTI/R32.
What cars are you talking about?

Even if it had held the gear, I determined that I wouldn't want such a system anyways because of the lack of involvment, I enjoy driving my cars and part of that experience is the shifting.

Edit: I haven't driven the TT, not sure about it. Stop editing your post
I'm sorry but judging from Honda's past history I am not going to get my hope up for anything crazy. The only things we will probably see is a new FD ratios and some improvements in the current trasmission. Lightweight parts ( Hood/Trunk/Wing). New front bumper, New Color, New Wheels, Maybe a 8500RPM Redline and a mild camshaft change.
On a side note. I really hope this is the last change for the S2000 before they move on to its replacement. I really hope Honda will fit the next gen S2000 with a V-8 even if it is a 3.0L I just can't see myself driving another 4 cylinder car in the price range of a V-8 Nissan and a V-8 Supra. Not to mention the 6 cylinder Turbo Sti that is rumored to come in 2008.....

Absolutely. I just have never driven a DSG equipped car that has the option. Is there one? It would have to be a seperate mode since not everyone would want to manually force up/downshifts for every gear change.
And I still wouldn't want one.
And did you mean triptronic is the one that sucks?

When i say sequential i mean the SMG units from BMW, the F1 unit from Ferrari.
Not sure whats in the Lambo system currently but they're moving toward the DSG setup.
BMW is also abandoning their SMG for DSG goodness.
But seriously, the DSG will do exactly what you want it too and there is no lag between shifts.
It will even skip shift.
Far cry from the fustrations of SMG, and way further than the Tiptonic (fancy automatic).
The DSG really is a manual transmission internally.

The same ones you are talking about. Even in sport mode they upshift for you. Nothing in the owners manual or anyone at the dealer knew of a way around it. I was excited to drive it, then I was hugely dissapointed.

The TT now that i remember will absolutely hold the gears. You can if you want bog the car till it shutters or bang off the redline till the next redlight.

Friday is a long day for everyone. So lets speed it up and play some games. I have a feeling that the right arm is going to have to adjust according to this new CR.
Every word in this sentence is part of the riddle.
Have a good weekend.

Friday is a long day so lets speed it up = current transmission has long throws/bad gearing so modifications to one or both.
