Did 8k kill the S2000
AP1 vs AP2 was one of the toughest decisions I had to make in 2011
I went with the AP1 pretty much because the '03 I found was too nice to pass up. I could have just as easily gone with the AP2.
For me it was all about autocross and the 9000rpm and high second gear top speed are really nice, but that extra AP2 pull out of the corners would have worked just fine with me. They are both awesome cars.

I agree to an extent. 8k kept me from buying an AP2, plus all the other "American" changes that were made to it. Everyone has a right to their opinion, and mine is that
the AP2 is inferior to the AP1 and, well.... Fails. AP1 FTW. The AP2 is just another decent performing roadster, nothing special like it was when it was first released.

Responses like this just make me shake my head. Many people who say this have either never driven an AP2, can't afford one, or both. I've owned both an AP1 and AP2, and while in bone stock form AP1's are more exciting, once modded (especially with nice suspension and forced induction) AP2's are better. The F22 makes more power, AP2 transmission shifts MUCH smoother, and the interior is refined. Not to mention the updated headlights and tails which make the car look more up to date (will admit AP1 rear bumper looks much better). I really enjoyed my AP1, but I'd be lying if I said I would take it over my AP2. To say the AP2 fails in comparison and is nothing special is just flat out ignorant though.
well that's what the 2004+ european S2000 are
Still noone answered my questions:
And I hope noone get me wrong: I had 2007 AP2 and now 2004 Euro AP1
so I don't want to be biased to which one is better. though can someone answers those 2 questions for me:
1 - Why did they keep AP1 in Europe, and yet they made the Limited edition White S2000 to celebrate the last year of production.'
2 - Why didn't they keep 9k with 2.2? Is it reliability?

1. I believe there are taxes or other fees that increase the larger size engine you have.
2. They had to add stroke to the motor to get from 2.0 to 2.2. The longer stroke requires a lower redline.
