well i launch pretty hard against my friend's DC5 Integra Type-R, stayed redline at 1st around 3 seconds, heard some small 'explosions' at my exhaust, and smelt burning clutch on my S . My car still runs fine but need to make sure if my S is still fine, or did I break anything?

BTW, i launched at 5800 - 6000 rpms, and won against my friend's DC5

Well 5.8-6krpms gives you high 14s in the 1/4 or so maybe mid. Try at 7k and you might hit high 13s Good job on the kill. One launch wont kill the car.

 

if you are smelling burning then that is not good... if its the clutch then you probably cause wear or perhaps damage... i would take it easy for a little bit.. make sure everything works properly... shifts the way it should, etc..
