Default Did I get bad gas?

I went to gas up last night and put about 3/4 of a tank in. Drove off and after about five miles of "normal" driving I got on it. From about 3k to 6k I noticed a lack of power. Vtec seemed to be lacking too, but 3-6k was the most noticable. I began to think either bad gas, or I have become hyper sensitive to fuel weight (not likely, I thought). I also noticed a fuel truck had just left the station before I filled up. Maybe he stirred up some junk at the bottom of the tank that I sucked up.
Anyway, today I got some Lucas octane booster, put it in and topped off at another station. I again drove "normal" for about five miles, then got on it. She seemed to have her normal power back.
Any thoughts, or similar situations?

Have to add: When I left the first station, I got on it a little and she felt fine. Could be the "bad gas" was not in the line yet.

um i'm no mechanic or engineer or anyone big shot like that but if the tanker stirred up crap from the bottom of the gas station tanks, wouldnt your fuel filter catch it before it gets into the engine?

Can't "crap" come in liquid form? Maybe wrong octane. Maybe old gas, as these current prices cause many people to use the cheap stuff? I don't know?

I'd avoid pumping at a gas station where a gas truck has just left pouring the gas in.

This happened to me a few yers back when I had my Suzuki Swift GT and got gas at some back roads mom and pop place. I had rough idle and a serious miss and lack of power (insert joke here). I bought some dry gas and dumped it into the tank and went for a drive. After about 3 miles of the same symptoms, I was sitting at a light with the rough idle and getting really worried about what it could be, when all of a sudden (it was like divine intervention from the car gods) my idle smoothed out, the tach needle quit jittering and the mighty Swift GT was back to it its fun self again. I will never forget that. It was like someone flipped a switch in the car. Sounds to me like your car will be just fine.
