all this comes together to make what is arguably the best s2000 ever produced.
i drove a used ap2 for a couple days, when i was considering trading in my ap1. i decided i did not like the ap2, and preferred my ap1. to each their own.

with ap2, you get a few subtle differences.
as for the car, you can see the obvious body changes, different bumper skins, different door panels (more shoulder room) and different radio door, and different cluster, with clock in display.

Is there any way to identify the cluster btw? I mean ive seen integra and civics swap out the cluster like nothing.
how do you check the serial number on the engine to see if its in the right car?
I think AP is just the model. Like EK = civic 96-00? DC = integra, etc.
thx again for all your help
On a side note: can someone clarify what a branded title means? What about teh DMV issuing duplicate title? (does this mean theres two title in existence? )

I was reading all that carfax stuff and apparently they dont clarify if theres a lein or not on the vehicle. Would the DMV tell me?
Would there be any other problems with owning the vehicle if i have the pink slip? (even if theres a duplicate)
Sorry for the 101 questions

what does ap1/2 stand for?
I think ap1 = pre 2004 and ap2 = post 2004, but don't know what AP stands for.

the AP1 is a better car, so why would anyone want to make their AP1 look like an AP2?

I got your ten lbs of torque right here buddy
