DV is not paid out by insurance companies from any angle from what I have been told by a friend in the claims business unless you are in certain states. Even then, they have calculators that show what you are allowed and it is not much. You have to go after the owner of the vehicle that hit you. you can try to drag their insurance company into it but good luck.
